The boys have trained extremely hard and demonstrated great commitment and dedication to training after school and subsequently performed far beyond expectations. Competing against the top schools from seven other boroughs in South London, our Obstacle Relay team of Jamie Low, Alex Webb, Louis Roberts and Isaac Agyapong got the team off to a great start with…

After a week spent sightseeing they then spent a week in lessons here experiencing all aspects of school life. Pairs of Chinese students were buddied up with a Darrick Wood student who took them to their lessons and looked after them throughout the day. There…
The Chemistry students in Year 12 and Year 13 had the opportunity to use some very special equipment today when former Darrick Wood teacher, Mrs Nuttall, returned in her new role as an outreach coordinator for Reading University. Pupils from Year 7 to 13 were selected to recognise the excellent efforts that they have made both inside and outside…

The latest performance tables show that Darrick Wood School performed very well again last year. The percentage of students who gained their English and Mathematics GCSE at grade C or above equals the previous School record, and a figure of 82% places the School as the top mixed comprehensive school in Bromley. In addition, the Progress 8 score is strong and ‘above average’, demonstrating that students made significant progress since entering the School in Year 7. https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/school/136355
