This week With Year 11 starting their mock examinations, as is usual at this time of year, our main assembly moved to an alternative rota for Years 7-10. This week’s theme focused on Peace. This follows on from our Remembrance assemblies a fortnight ago. DWS Audio is proud to announce that two of our audio plays have been included in the UK International Radio Drama Festival 2019. One of Our Exercise Books is Missing and Free Fall will be showcased on Thursday 21st March at Café Nero in Canterbury, the venue for this year’s festival. The plays will also be available online via the radio drama festival website, where you can listen and vote for your favourite play. Mr Chappell
Congratulations to all who entered the inaugural Darrick Wood School Christmas Card Competition. The standard of entry was extremely high, with many excellent pieces commended for their effort. We are delighted that two students have been chosen to exhibit at the V&A Museum of Childhood as part of the Take pArt Challenge competition. A huge congratulations to Amber Blake & Georgia Barnard for having their art work shortlisted.
