Road Safety Awareness for Year 12

This week, our Year 12 students were given the opportunity to attend a road safety awareness talk led by a Bromley Road Safety Officer. The session, focusing on the challenges and responsibilities young drivers face on the road, was a powerful reminder of the importance of safety and awareness behind the wheel. The talk covered key areas such as safe driving practices, the risks associated with distractions, and the importance of considering others’ safety. This event was an important step…

This week This week’s assemblies began with Vlad sharing his inspirational story of how he came to the UK showing great courage and resilience at the time, qualities he then utilised hugely in helping those of us fortunate not to have had to leave their home to have greater understanding of the impact this can have on a young person. It was an emotional listen but we all felt better informed and able to fully understand why we were marking…

This week Assemblies in this first week of the summer term were themed around life being a journey. Life can be more enriching and enjoyable when we challenge ourselves do different things. This week This week we celebrated British Science Week. The theme this year is smashing stereotypes. Science is such a varied sector and much more than the societal stereotype of someone in a lab coat and goggles, swirling a conical flask. In the main school assembly we highlighted the importance of science for every one of us. To complement this, students were encouraged to read some of the ‘smashing stereotypes’ stories here: Smashing Stereotypes: The profiles – British Science Week….

Latest news Last week’s assemblies started with a fascinating account from Marcus and Shubhan of the Year 11 trip before Christmas to Cologne, Germany. The long journey was more than made up for by what Cologne had to offer and they ensured we all wished we had had the chance to go. In an assembly led predominantly by students, we then heard from some of our amazing eco representatives across all year groups – Aerin, Chelsea, Shreya, Scott, Shubhan, Olivia,…
