We are delighted to congratulate our Year 13 students on their achievements in this year’s Key Stage 5 results. Their hard work, resilience and determination have paid off, and we are proud of both their collective and their individual successes.

This year 182 students collected results across A Level, BTEC and Extended Project qualifications, and once again the outcomes reflect the strength of both our academic and our vocational provision.

For those taking A Level qualifications, one student achieved three or more A* grades, eight students achieved three or more grades at A or above, and thirteen students achieved grades of AAB or better. Across all A Level entries, 94% of grades were a pass, 63% were at grade C or above, and 39% were at grade B or above.

A number of our departments recorded a 100% pass rate, including Economics, History, Physics, Religious Studies, Drama and Theatre, and Film Studies. History saw 95% of its students achieving grade C or above, alongside Economics, where 85% of students achieved the same, and Film Studies, where 90% of entries were at grade B or above.

In vocational qualifications, 98% of all BTEC grades were a pass or higher.  Thirty per cent of all BTEC grades were awarded at Distinction or Distinction*, twenty-six students achieved at least one Distinction, and sixteen students achieved Distinction grades across every BTEC qualification they took. Our Children’s Play, Learning and Development students in particular achieved highly, with more than half of the cohort achieving a Distinction, and we were pleased to see Distinction* grades awarded in Health and Social Care.

We are also delighted with the results of our Extended Project Qualification students, twelve of whom achieved a grade B or above. The EPQ asks a great deal of independence and self-discipline, and these outcomes speak well of the students who took it on alongside a full programme of study.

These results reflect the dedication of our students and the unwavering support of our staff, who continue to inspire and challenge them to reach their potential. We are incredibly proud of all our students and wish them every success as they take their next steps, whether that is university, college, an apprenticeship, or entering the world of work. 

Their achievements today are a testament to their determination and to the strength of our school community.
