It was also emphasised how showing kindness and respect towards other people throughout the year is also important. Head of IT and Computing, Mr Leslie, presented ideas to consider when posting and sharing on the internet as well raising awareness of checking the terms and conditions when signing up for apps and social media. Congratulations to those who took part in the UK Polar Network Flags Competition. A number of successful entries made it to the Antarctic, where they were proudly displayed and photographed by the scientists who were working there!

This week All of Years 7 and 8 have been invited to participate in a sponsored Read-a-thon until the end of Easter. Pupils have been issued with a sponsor card and bookmark to help them raise money for children in hospitals. Pupils can be sponsored to read an entire book, a set number of pages or chapters, for reading to someone or even listening to a number of audiobooks.
