Library Book Fair A Success

The book fair held in the library was very successful selling £660 worth of books and other items. This enabled us to get £330 worth of free books for the library. Thank you to all pupils and staff that visited the library and purchased books, posters, pointers and stationery. Mrs Treacher, Librarian

Year 11 and 12 pupils and students from Darrick Wood School received a taste of university life during a series of careers workshops hosted on Tuesday, 3rd October. During the interactive workshops, students received advice on the different types of higher education courses available, university fees and finance, the university application timeline, and the importance of students making future subject choices with university in mind. UK Youth Parliaments’ Make Your Mark

They are aiming for 1 million ballots this year. The 10 options available to choose from all effect young people in some way. A New Baby Arrives at Darrick Wood School

The music department took delivery of a beautiful new baby grand piano this week. Many of our students are talented pianists. A large number of them have piano lessons both in and out of school.
