Parent Bulletin 30.11.18

This week This week has been dominated by the start of Year 11 mock examinations. We have made good use of our extended dining facilities to allow pupils to line up in the dry before going into the Main Hall. With one more week to go, everything has run smoothly so far. We know this first taste of what it feels like to take public examinations is an important step towards the summer, but understand it can be very hard….

This week The highlight of the week was of course our production, Les Miserables. This production was truly one of the best, if not the best we have ever produced. The assemblies were led by Mr Heath who shared the story of Royal Marine, Oliver Augustin, who lost his life serving in Afghanistan. Years before, Mr Heath had taught this young man at another school and coached him to play rugby. The story illustrated that even on the centenary of the end…

This week As we returned to school this week, students were able to begin using our new Dining Hall. It is a much bigger space than we have been used to and shows great potential not only as a space for dining but for many other functions. With our current building programme now over, we will benefit not only from the new Dining Hall but also a new Movement and Performing Arts Building with specialist Drama and Music rooms and…
