On Wednesday 15th November the Bromley Schools Cross Country Championships was held at Darrick Wood School. Fifteen secondary schools in the Bromley Borough took park with over 60 participants in most races. The highlights of the day were the year7 girls event Victoria Fenwick came 4th, Hannah Strover came 6th, Thea Cleary came 9th and Katie Brash came 10th winning the overall team event, which was an amazing achievement. Congratulations to all who entered the 2017 Darrick Wood School Christmas Card Competition. The standard of entries was very high, and the judging panel had a very difficult task choosing the top three. This week Our thanks go to everyone involved in the very successful Year 7 singing competition held last night. Each form group sang their own song before concluding with a massed choir performing “With a little help from my friends”. Darrick Wood’s performance of “Bugsy Malone” will be held on Wednesday, 22nd November, and Thursday, 23rd November at 7.30pm in the Hall. This is an extremely popular musical, with students across each key stage involved as performers, musicians and back stage assistants.
