Sports Awards Our annual Sports Awards evening enabled us to recognise the achievements of our students across a range of sports through the year. After giving out the awards, our Guest of Honour, England Sevens player Femi Sofolarin, shared his inspiring journey through multiple sports before finally focusing and excelling in rugby. World Class Schools Symposium on Creativity in Education The Head Teacher travelled to Sheffield with Mr Chappell, Head of Media Studies and two Year 11 pupils (Thomas Birkett and Sebastian O’Driscoll-Henderson) to showcase the School’s award winning podcast service. This week Thursday saw the return of the PSFA/Drama Department Murder Mystery evening, this year entitled ‘Who Killed the Head Mistress?’ We obviously cannot tell anyone who did not come to this brilliant event ‘whodunnit?’ but it really was a great evening of entertainment. Latest news As we returned from the half-term break the public examinations resumed. You may recall that over the past few weeks, the venue used for most examinations, our Main Hall, had problems with its lighting, which was failing and temporary lights had to be installed. Thankfully, over the break we were able to appoint a team who worked around the clock to replace the ageing system with new LED lights just in time for examinations to resume on Monday….

Public examinations The main public examination session has started this week. Students in Years 11 and 13 will have public examinations from now until the third week of June. Students are reminded of the importance of checking their examination timetable carefully and ensuring that they are present at the correct time and with the correct equipment.
