This week
Thursday saw the return of the PSFA/Drama Department Murder Mystery evening, this year entitled ‘Who Killed the Head Mistress?’ We obviously cannot tell anyone who did not come to this brilliant event ‘whodunnit?’ but it really was a great evening of entertainment. The hall was packed and lots of money was raised for the PSFA. The children even remained in role throughout the intervals and came round to the audience whilst they enjoyed their fish and chips and gave us the opportunity to ask their character questions in order to try to solve the crime. Their impressions of the fictional school staff were hilarious.
Earlier in the evening GCSE and A level art was on display along with A level photography pieces in our annual exhibition. Everything was of a very high quality and impressed all who came along.
Year 9 very much enjoyed their session with “Medical Mavericks” which took place at the beginning of this week. This was a hands-on workshop where pupils had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of medicine and medical practice as well as try out different pieces of equipment. The aim of this session was to provide pupils with an insight into the many and varied careers in available in healthcare.
