This week Our annual Carol Service at St Paul’s, Crofton was one of our best ever. The church was full and everyone enjoyed a mix of traditional and modern music together with nine lessons read by pupils and staff. We are grateful to the PSFA who prepared and served mince pies and mulled wine afterwards. This, together with the amazing performances by our students more than made up for the terrible weather outside. This week, Year 7 received a brand…

All students gave their very best and worked incredibly well together under the leadership of a very dedicated team of teachers and other staff. Thank you to…

National Poetry Day

National Poetry Day

For National Poetry Day this year, Ms Tibbs hosted a ‘Poetry Breakfast’. Students were encouraged to bring a poem along; one that they love or had written themselves. Students and staff shared the poetry aloud whist quaffing croissants, coffee and other breakfast goodies. Many of the pupils have since asked for another one – a highly enjoyable way to start the day! Ms Tibbs

This week In assemblies, all year groups this week paid tribute to those who lost their lives in World War 1 and in wars and conflicts ever since. The assemblies were led by Mr Heath who shared the story of Royal Marine, Oliver Augustin, who lost his life serving in Afghanistan. Years before, Mr Heath had taught this young man at another school and coached him to play rugby. The story illustrated that even on the centenary of the end…
