They have approached these important examinations with maturity and we are very proud of them. Their results will be distributed in a mock result ceremony on the afternoon of Monday, 6th January. We wish them a restful weekend and look forward to supporting them through next week and indeed the rest of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Planners\/homework<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new planners have now arrived and will be distributed next week. They are definitely more robust than the previous ones but students will still need to care of them. They will be asked to copy timetables and other information into the new planners and then start using these during the course of next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Young Chef Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, in conjunction with the Rotary Club, we\nheld a Young Chef competition. The food prepared was judged to be of a very\nhigh standard and were very proud of all who took part. Ella (Year 10) goes on\nto the regional finals next term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PE Santa Fun Run<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PE Department are once again planning organise a Keys Stage 3 &#8216;Santa Fun Run&#8217; during PE lessons week commencing Monday, 9th December. Years 7 to 9 will all take part in the run during their second PE lesson that week, weather permitting. They have been given sponsor forms so we hope they can get lots of sponsors before returning their forms and any funds raised in their second PE lesson week commencing Monday, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Money raised from the run will be used to enhance PE resources such as equipment, coaching, kits, sports awards and travel to fixtures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year there will be prizes to be won including a gift voucher for the student who raises the most per year group. Additionally, students who raise \u00a35 or more will be entered into a raffle to also win a gift voucher. There will be three of these prizes per year group. We hope to raise lots of money but also enjoy the run and get into the Christmas spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carol Service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing the Christmas theme, our annual Carol Service will once again be held at St. Paul&#8217;s Church, Crofton on Tuesday, 17th December at 7.30pm. The PSFA will be providing mince pies and mulled wine. Our Carol Service is always a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit. Our choirs and musicians provide a high quality mix of carols and other festive pieces whilst our readers outline the Christmas story. Parents, students and friends of the School are all very welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October half term 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further to the recent email and Parent Bulletin\nannouncement, the October 2020 half-term break will again be a two week break\nstarting on 19th October 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>End of term<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last day of term is Friday, 20th December. The\nschool day will finish early and further details will be published soon.
