Thank you to parents of students in Years 10 and 11 who attended our information evening on Wednesday. The information booklets that were given out are now on our website and can also be downloaded here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We still have some copies of the other booklets written by Tim Foot that are \u00a31 each and will make them available at the Year 10 and Year 11 parents’ evenings next term. In the meantime, they can be purchased from Pupil Reception if your child brings the correct money in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents\nin other year groups may appreciate a reminder that the parent area on our\nwebsite has information on what each year group are learning. This can be\nhelpful as the year progresses and in particular in the lead up to\nexaminations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planner\/Bromcom update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\nmentioned in previous bulletins we are aware of the poor quality of the new\nstudent planners and are making plans to replace them urgently. We will write\nwith more information once this is confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All\nstudents and parents should now be able to access the Bromcom portals.  Parents of students in Year 13 will be the\nfirst to access an online booking system for the Year 13 Parents’ Evening. We\nhope to send details next week. To communicate effectively we do need to ensure\nthe email address we have for you is accurate and still used. Please let the\nOffice know if there are any changes or you are not receiving emails we send.\nThese will come from the office@darrickwood.bromley.sch.uk address or from our\n‘groupcall’ system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proofs\nfrom the Photo Session in September should have come home with your child this\nweek. We hear from some parents that these never reach home. Please ask your\nchild about them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an\nadditional photo day scheduled for Tuesday, 15th October as below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pathways Careers evening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents\/carers\nof students in Years 9 to 13 are invited to attend the School’s Pathways\nevening with their son\/daughter.  The\nevening runs from 6.30pm to 8.00pm in the Main Hall and Dining Hall with a wide\nrange of providers for Post-16 and Post-18 pathways.  Further information has been sent home this\nweek in an email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday, 12th October<\/strong> \u2013 PSFA Secondhand uniform sale 10am until 11.30am – in the Dining Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday, 12th October<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 PSFA Magic Night. Don’t forget to check out other events on the PSFA website ( http:\/\/www.darrickwoodpsa.co.uk\/<\/a>) and get involved in helping raise funds for your child’s school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, 17th October<\/strong> \u2013 Pathways 2019 from 6.30pm \u2013 careers and\npathway options for Years 9 to 13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
