Learning Week: Equality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week is a themed learning week, focusing on equality. Please read through this document carefully, which will give you an oversight of equality and the learning activities that you should take part in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also the belief that no one should have poorer life chances because of the way they were born, where they come from, what they believe, or whether they have a disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equality recognises that historically certain groups of people with protected characteristics<\/a> such as age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation have experienced discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
